With initiative of Maribor Muncipity and Slovenian army Pogrebno podjetje Maribor renewed damaged monumental board on the tomb of general Rudolf Maister.
"Pobrežje cemetery is not so architectually rich as cemeteries in Paris, Barcelona or Vienna, but it can be compared as it old city cemetery with collected 500 years of history," explains manager of Pogrebno podjetje Maribor Lidija Pliberšek. Its historical importance shows also the fact that nowhere else in the city you can find any monuments of german speaking minority, living in this area before 2nd world war.
