Mission and vision

The place of memory, as we often refer to the cemetery, is connected to the funerary activity that presents the basic function of a cemetery.

What stays hidden on numerous occasions is the fact that this is also the place which holds the history of a city and combines various branches of art in unique symphony. Thus a cemetery serves many purposes and touches different target groups. We can see a tourist acquainting himself with the city and passing through, historians researching the past, and artists who search for the inspiration for their new creations

Mission

The main activity of Pogrebno podjetje Maribor is the provision of funeral services. With a sense of dignity and a quality execution, we help relatives through difficult moments when losing a loved one. Stonemasonry, floriculture and horticulture complement the wide range of our services.

Concern for the preservation and awareness raising of cultural heritage, the use of environmentally friendly technologies, modernization and renovation of infrastructure are the foundations on which we build the image of the cemetery as a place of memory for both casual and regular visitors.

Vision

Pogrebno podjetje Maribor is the holder and promoter of development in the field of funeral, cemetery and complementary activities in the entire northeast Slovenia. We want to transfer our role as a carrier and promoter of development to the entire territory of Slovenia and also to the European space.

The reputation and recognition of Pogrebno podjetje Maribor, as a reliable, socially responsible and modern company, extends not only to the regional, but also to the wider European area. By integrating user, cultural, architectural, ecological and other social aspects into the management and preservation of cemeteries, we strengthen the reputation of our company and thus strengthen its competitive advantage and growth.

By leading an important international association and promoting exceptional ideas through heritage and the past recorded in cemeteries, Pogrebno podjetje Maribor is becoming a builder of European awareness of the cultural heritage of European cemeteries and consequently of an innovative approach in tourism.

Values

Above all, a good execution of services requires excellent people. Mainly, because the cemetery is exposed to strong emotions and the primary concern of the manager is to provide people-friendly, respectful and understanding services. The services we have to provide are mostly carried out with relatives in sensitive moments and are related to personal contacts. That is why employees must be properly trained, motivated and have a high level of belonging to their work and the environment in which they live.

Every act of the employees is a reflection of the company and its care for the cemetery. Our image therefore communicates to the greatest extent in these personal contacts with users. How we are perceived in these moments is a reflection of our way of working, thinking and communicating.
